Our Mission

Small and meek, the dream of CJD Fine Jewelry began in 1986 with Alexey and Oksana Doroshenko, two goldsmiths from Ukraine. In the midst of a political earthquake that shook their home, one belief stayed with them — true beauty is born from craftsmanship and dedication. Carrying only their tools, a few sketches, and unshakable faith in their abilities, they came to America determined to show that jewelry isn’t just an accessory but a piece of someone’s story captured in gold and gemstones, crafted with care and purpose.

Boston became their home. In a small studio on loan near Washington Street, Alexey worked deep into the night, accompanied only by the soft tapping of metal taking shape beneath his hands. Beside him, Oksana’s pencil waltzed across sheets of paper, inspired by European architecture and the pure forms of nature. Their first clients came through quiet whispers — a custom engagement ring here, a one-of-a-kind pendant there. But soon, word spread. Their designs spoke to people who wanted more than standard jewelry — they wanted pieces with character, meaning, and soul. And so, a family business was born — built on passion, honesty, and love for the craft.

Today, nearly four decades later, CJD Fine Jewelry has evolved into a strong atelier of tradition and innovation. What once started with two pairs of hands is now a team of more than 180 artisans — goldsmiths, designers, engravers, and gemstone setters bound by the same belief: that every piece of custom jewelry must have a story to it.

We work on every design from scratch under one roof. Everything is done in-house, from the first sketch to the final polish. The finest materials we use include 14K and 18K gold, platinum, and carefully selected gemstones.
